HISTORY
An extension of the non-profit organization Spirit of Distinction, Jabez Entertainment was founded
in 2000 by Bridgette Monroe. The conceptualization, and eventual birthing of this company, began in the heart and mind of
this talented woman several years before it became a reality.
Originally, Jabez was a single entity. Today, we are a professional, touring, theatrical production
company, and a publishing company. We pride ourselves on writing, and producing inspirational, and educational works.
Jabez has attempted to give back to the community by making contributions to needy families, sponsoring
elementary school athletic programs, and creating advancement opportunities for up and coming talents.

Whatever the key is to achieving theatrical and literary success, the Jabez family is determined
to find it, grab it, and share it with anyone who is interested in being a part of the commitment that we have made to our
community.
We will continue to perfect our formula for creating magic in the arts.
OUR VISION
The extended vision of Jabez Entertainment is to build on the foundation already
laid down in our community through such places as the South Dallas Cultural Center, the African-American Art Museum, and the
Black Academy of Arts and Letters, by placing the current local artistic arena onto a national platform. In
doing so, we hope to promote unification and continued artistic cultivation within our community.
